I need to reset the crash error, but to do that I need to find the crash sensor and replace it - I think so.

I don't think that you have to replace any crash-sensor. There should be three.
One is inside the Airbag Control unit.
There should be one more in each b-piller left and right.
Did you already Change the seatbelt-restraints/belt pretensioners? If they blew, and they did, an Error occurs.
The resistors are then Infinite. The Airbag Control unit Checks that all The time.
They should have about one or two Ohm.

Working hours – about one week in the welding shop and another in the paint shop

Wenn ich das zusammenrechne, komme ich auf 7000€ plus das Unfallfahrzeug 4000€ sind in Summe 11000€.
Ok, du hast viel über das Auto gelernt und eine Reparatur in weniger als drei Monaten ist einsamer Rekord. In einer deutschen Werkstatt kann das schon mal 6 Monate und länger dauern.

Und für die AEs die eine Werkstatt dafür aufgeschrieben hätte gäbs wahrscheinlich zwei Neue!

Hurt ab vor der Arbeit, wäre mir aber viel zu unsicher gewesen, kann schnell an kleinen Dingen scheitern.
Um den Preis gäbs sicher schon was Gebrauchtes was fährt...

Yes I already changed the seatbelt pretensioners that's what cost 300Euros,(75Eur for each belt) and had to reprogram seatbelt ECU to delete hard coded error.

OK, you've learned a lot about the car and a repair in less than three months is a record. In a German workshop, it can take six months or more.
